History of Isuzu Trucks

Isuzu company came into existence in 1916 when the Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Company decide a joint venture with the Tokyo Gas Electric Industrial Company to manufacture cars. 

Then, in 1918 this brand new firm received a permit to build and sell cars in Japan which was developed from the Wolseley Motor Company. This started a long history of international joint ventures for the future Isuzu Company. Then, in 1949 Isuzu Motors Limited became the official business name. Isuzu is among the biggest producers of heavy-duty trucks in Japan. The demand for significant improvement resulted in a boom in the manufacturing of Isuzu vehicles, and particularly trucks. From the year 1959, Isuzu had manufactured the taxi over forwards control truck that was called the N series. Then, in 1971, a deal has been signed with General Motors to start generating Isuzu vehicles in America.
